After five months in jail, Hemant Soren set to return as Jharkhand CM

The decision was finalised during a meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence in Ranchi, attended by key figures including Congress’s Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir, state president Rajesh Thakur, and Hemant Soren’s relatives Basant and Kalpana. If appointed, this will mark Hemant Soren’s third term as Chief Minister of Jharkhand, a state established in 2000 after its separation from Bihar
