First Swarn Dwar Installed in Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Ahead of Grand Ceremony

In a momentous development, the first Swarn Dwar (golden gate) has been installed in the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing construction. The announcement comes as part of the extensive preparations for the ‘pran-prathistha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla scheduled for January 22.

Details of the Golden Door:

The surfaced picture of the golden door reveals intricate artwork, showcasing two elephants in a welcome posture on the middle panel. In the upper part, a palace-like structure is depicted with two servants standing with folded hands. The bottom of the door features beautiful artworks inscribed in four squares, adding to the grandeur of the temple.

As part of the larger plan, a total of 13 golden doors, including the large-sized gate of the sanctum sanctorum, will be installed in the Ram Temple within the next three days.

Nighttime Glimpses of the Temple:

On Monday, the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust shared captivating pictures of the temple adorned in the night light. The images showcase the sculpture of Jatayu, a significant character in the Ramayana, along with finely carved figures of deities, gods, and goddesses adorning the pillars and walls of the temple.

Grand Specifications of Ram Mandir:

The Ram Mandir, constructed in the traditional Nagara style, stands as a three-storied shrine measuring an impressive 380 feet in length (east-west direction), 250 feet in width, and soaring to a height of 161 feet. It boasts a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors, featuring five Mandaps—Nritya Mandap, Rang Mandap, Sabha Mandap, Prarthna, and Kirtan Mandaps.

Preparations for the Inauguration Ceremony:

The preparations for the ‘pran-prathistha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22 are in full swing. The entrance gate of the Ram Temple has been adorned with idols of elephants, lions, Lord Hanuman, and Garuda, the ‘vahana’ of Lord Vishnu.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the inauguration on January 22 and will personally perform the rituals in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple around 12:15 pm. Invitation cards for the consecration ceremony have been dispatched to over 7,000 guests, including 3,000 VVIPs, encompassing priests, donors, and various politicians.
