Foreign ministry gets record 22,154 crore in Union Budget 2024-25: Where is it being allocated?

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has been allocated a record Rs 22,154 crore for the year 2024-25 in the Union Budget presented on July 23. With more than Rs 5,600 crore earmarked for foreign aid, the amount will be used to help fulfil India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy while much of the remaining amount goes into the smooth functioning of diplomatic missions and welfare schemes abroad
