Health Ministry and UP Government Implement Robust Healthcare Measures Ahead of Ayodhya’s Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

As Ayodhya gears up for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22, the Union Health Ministry and the Uttar Pradesh government have taken proactive steps to ensure the well-being of the expected large gathering of devotees.

Healthcare Measures Implemented:

  1. Field Hospitals and First-Aid Facilities:
  • Two fully equipped field hospitals will be set up, including a 20-bed facility at Tulsi Udyan and a 10-bed facility at Tent City.
  • Sixteen first-aid booths will be strategically located to provide immediate medical assistance.
  • A control room will be established in the mela area to coordinate emergency responses.
  1. Training and Assessments:
  • A team from the trauma centre associated with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, has provided training in basic life support, CPR, and triage techniques for healthcare workers in Ayodhya.
  • The Union Health Secretary and the Director General of Health Services have assessed and strengthened the medical infrastructure.
  1. Vector Control and Disease Surveillance:
  • Measures for vector control and disease surveillance have been instituted to prevent outbreaks during the event.
  • While winter typically sees a decrease in mosquito-borne diseases, precautions are taken against respiratory infections, including those related to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza.
  1. Expanded Medical Facilities:
  • The bed strength of Rajarshi Dashrath Rajkiya Medical College has been increased from 350 to 550 to serve as a backup facility.
  1. Portable Disaster Hospital:
  • The Centre’s indigenously developed portable hospital, named Arogya Maitri Disaster Management Cube – BHISM, equipped with various medical resources, stands ready if needed.
  1. Emergency Preparedness:
  • Hospitals in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and neighboring states are on high alert.
  • A designated rapid deployment team is prepared to address unforeseen emergency situations.
  1. Enhanced Facilities at Ayodhya Airport:


These comprehensive healthcare measures aim to ensure the safety and well-being of the devotees and attendees during the auspicious Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.
