The police in Pauri has arrested journalist Ashutosh Negi, who played a crucial role in the Ankita Bhandari Murder case. Radesh Singh Raja Koli from Pauri had earlier filed a written complaint with the police against three individuals, including Ashutosh Negi, under the SC-ST Act. The Superintendent of Police in Kotdwar is overseeing the investigation into this matter. Deep Maithani was already arrested in connection with this case. On Tuesday, the Pauri police arrested Ashutosh Negi outside the RTI office. SSP Pauri has confirmed the arrest.

It is worth mentioning that Ashutosh Negi has actively played a role in seeking justice for Ankita Bhandari murder case. Ankita’s parents are currently staging a sit-in protest in Srinagar to demand justice for their daughter. Recently, Ashutosh Negi accused the government of gross negligence in handling the case and saving the VIPs.

The ongoing protest against the Ankita Bhandari Murder case is intensifying in Srinagar. Protesters are angry over the arrest of Ashutosh Negi and the arrest of the eyewitness in the case of Ankita. They are demanding action against the former SDM and the Yamkeshwar legislator for their alleged involvement. Today, a large number of people gathered and protested vehemently against the government. Some protesters blocked the highway, causing traffic congestion for a while.

During the protest, there was a heated argument between the demonstrators and the police. A large number of students, social activists, and Congress workers, including Ankita’s relatives, were present during the protest. Ankita’s father said that the government is framing those who are seeking justice for Ankit Bhandari in false cases. Even after the arrest, this protest will continue.
