Dehradun, A shocking case of Love Jihad has come to light in Patelnagar, Dehradun, where a Muslim man allegedly posed as a Hindu to marry a Hindu girl. The accused, identified as Nadeem, has been booked by the police for fraud, forgery, and cheating, along with two women who acted as witnesses in the marriage.
How the Love Jihad Case Unfolded
According to reports, Nadeem, a Muslim man, impersonated a Hindu named “Naveen” and lured the Hindu girl into a relationship. The two later got married at Chandrabani Gautamkund Temple in Dehradun. The marriage was even registered with a certificate issued by the Ganga Uddhar Seva Samiti.
However, the truth came to light when the girl discovered that her husband was not Naveen but Nadeem, a Muslim man who had hidden his real identity. Distraught, she returned to her family, who then approached the Hindu Parishad for help.
- Nadeem is already married and has four children from his previous marriage.
- He allegedly paid ₹10,000 each to two women, Ritika and Sulakshana, to act as fake witnesses in the wedding.
- Police have registered an FIR against Nadeem under sections of forgery, fraud, and cheating.
- The two women who acted as witnesses have also been booked.
The Hindu Parishad has raised concerns over rising Love Jihad cases in Uttarakhand and demanded a thorough investigation. They allege that such cases are part of a larger conspiracy to convert Hindu girls through deceitful marriages.
