Most of India’s lung cancer cases are linked to non-smokers. Here’s why

A study in the Lancet Regional Health Southeast Asia Journal found that a ‘substantial portion’ of lung cancer patients in India are those who do not smoke. The research further revealed that the nature of lung cancer cases in Southeast Asia is different from other parts of Asia and the West, influenced by ‘unique’ environmental and genetic risk factors among others
