Two minor girls, aged 13 and 16, who had been missing for six days from the Banbhoolpura area in Haldwani, Nainital district, have been safely recovered by the police. The girls were found in Muzaffarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh. Nainital SSP Prahlad Meena provided this information during a press conference.
Police Action and Arrests
The police have arrested four individuals in this case, who helped the minor girls escape from Haldwani. SSP Prahlad Meena stated that these four accused misled the police, and cases have been registered against them under various sections for further action.
The arrested individuals are:
- Amil, son of Amir Hasan: Resident of Bihari village, Sikheda police station, Muzaffarnagar district, UP.
- Nisha alias Noorain, wife of Uzair alias Asif: Resident of Mridatola, Sahaswan police station, Badaun district, UP.
- Uzair alias Asif, son of Hafeez Ahmed: Resident of Mridatola, Sahaswan police station, Badaun district, UP.
- Abdul Sami alias Bhola, son of Abdul Rashid: Resident of Banbhoolpura.
Incident Overview
Approximately six days ago, two minor girls from the Banbhoolpura police station area in Haldwani suddenly went missing. The families of the girls reported their disappearance to the Banbhoolpura police station and alleged that a teenager from a particular community in their area had taken the girls with him.
Community Reaction and Police Assurance
Following the incident, Hindu organizations protested outside the police station and the SSP office. The police assured the Hindu organizations that they would soon recover the girls. In this context, Congress MLA from Haldwani, Sumesh Hridayesh, also met with the SSP, urging the swift recovery of the girls.
