Orphan Seeking Employment Trapped in Prostitution Racket in Uttarakhand

A heartbreaking case has emerged from Kichha in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar district, where a 20-year-old orphan girl was allegedly forced into prostitution under the pretense of employment. The victim has filed a complaint against two individuals, and the police have registered a case, launching an investigation into the matter.

Deception and Exploitation

According to the victim, a resident of Nainital district, she lost her parents at a very young age. Her relatives took care of her upbringing, but two years ago, she left their home in search of employment and moved to Kichha.

During her job hunt, she met a woman near the railway crossing in Kichha, who introduced herself as Chhaya, wife of Bundiya. The woman claimed to live in Sanjay Sainik Colony and promised to help her find a job. Trusting her words, the victim went with Chhaya to her house, unaware of the horrifying ordeal that awaited her.

Forced Into Flesh Trade

In her complaint, the victim alleged that Chhaya took advantage of her helplessness and coerced her into prostitution. She was taken to various locations where she was forced to engage in the illegal trade against her will. Over time, the physical and emotional toll of this exploitation severely impacted her health, prompting her to seek justice.

Legal Action and Investigation Underway

Based on the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused couple. Law enforcement authorities have assured a thorough investigation and pledged strict action against those involved in the heinous crime.

This shocking incident highlights the vulnerability of young women who, in desperate search for livelihood, fall prey to traffickers and criminals. Authorities urge job seekers to exercise caution and verify employment offers before trusting strangers.

As the investigation progresses, activists and legal experts are demanding stringent punishment for the accused and better safeguards for vulnerable women to prevent such tragedies in the future.
