Indian Navy Rescues Injured Chinese Mariner off Mumbai

The Indian Navy successfully carried out a medical evacuation of an injured Chinese mariner from a bulk carrier off the coast of Mumbai on Wednesday. The Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre (MRCC), Mumbai, received a distress call on July 23 from the bulk carrier ZHONG SHAN MEN, approximately 370 km from Mumbai. The distress call reported a critical injury to a 51-year-old Chinese mariner, resulting in heavy blood loss and necessitating immediate evacuation. In response, a Seaking helicopter from the Indian Naval Air Station INS Shikra was dispatched at 0550 hrs. Man Beaten to Death Over Alleged Goat Theft in Assam

The chilling incident in Assam's Hailakandi district unfolded as a 40-year-old man named Falaluddin Ansari fell victim to a mob frenzy, accused of goat theft. On the fateful Wednesday night at the Manipur tea estate in the Katlicherra area, approximately 200 locals participated in the heinous act of lynching Ansari. The brutality reached its peak, and Ansari, battered and bruised, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday morning. Upon learning of the ghastly incident, the police swiftly intervened. Ansari was rushed to Kathlichera Public Health Centre and subsequently transferred to Hailakandi Civil Hospital.
