LIC Receives GST Demand Notices Totaling Rs 217.39 Crore

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) disclosed on Tuesday that tax authorities have issued demand notices amounting to approximately Rs 178 crore for the short payment of Goods and Services Tax (GST) for the financial years 2018-19 and 2019-20. The demand pertains to the pre-mature availment of Input Tax Credit on reverse charge mechanism.
