Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a scathing attack on the Congress party during a rally in Tonk-Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. He lambasted the Congress over its promise of wealth redistribution, alleged attacks on Hinduism in Congress-ruled states, and accused it of playing divisive politics based on religious appeasement.

PM Modi highlighted a recent incident in Karnataka where a Hindu shopkeeper was assaulted for playing Hanuman Chalisa in his shop, portraying it as an example of Congress-ruled states suppressing Hindu practices. He condemned such actions, stating that even listening to Hanuman Chalisa had become a crime under Congress rule.

Furthermore, he criticized the Congress for banning Ram Navami celebrations in Rajasthan, a state known for its reverence to Lord Ram. PM Modi accused the Congress of stifling religious freedom and imposing restrictions on Hindu festivals.

Turning his attention to the Congress’s wealth redistribution promise, PM Modi questioned the party’s reluctance to acknowledge its own policy openly. He mocked the Congress’s reaction, suggesting that they were rattled after he exposed the truth of their agenda. He also criticized Rahul Gandhi’s remarks about surveying Indian women’s savings, implying that the Congress’s policies would infringe on personal liberties.

PM Modi called for unity, cautioning against divisions that could be exploited by enemies of the country. He emphasized the need for solidarity to thwart external threats.

On the issue of religious politics, PM Modi accused the Congress of attempting to provide reservations for Muslims on religious grounds, which he deemed unconstitutional. He recounted past instances where the Congress allegedly prioritized Muslim reservations over the rights of SC/ST and OBC communities. PM Modi accused the Congress of disregarding the Constitution and engaging in appeasement politics for electoral gains.

He highlighted efforts by the Congress government between 2004 and 2010 to implement Muslim reservations in Andhra Pradesh, despite legal challenges and opposition from the Supreme Court. PM Modi condemned these actions as a betrayal of the Constitution and an exploitation of marginalized communities for political purposes.

Overall, PM Modi’s speech portrayed the Congress party as a threat to religious harmony, constitutional values, and national unity, while positioning his own party as a defender of Hindu rights, personal freedoms, and the rule of law.
