Supreme Court Judges Invited as State Guests for Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

In a historic gesture, all five judges of the Supreme Court who played a pivotal role in delivering the landmark verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi case have been extended invitations as state guests for the upcoming Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Mandir on January 22nd. The inclusion of these distinguished jurists adds a profound dimension to the auspicious event, symbolizing the culmination of a centuries-old dispute.

Honoring Legal Luminaries:
More than 50 esteemed jurists, including former Chief Justices of India (CJIs) and legal experts, have also received invitations to partake in the momentous ceremony. This gathering of legal luminaries underscores the significance of the judicial process that led to the resolution of the Ram Janmabhoomi matter.

Unanimous Verdict and Judicial Prowess:
The five-judge bench of the Supreme Court, comprising the then CJI Ranjan Gogoi, former CJI SA Bobde, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, and former Supreme Court judges Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer, delivered a unanimous verdict on November 9, 2019. The judges, after meticulous consideration of arguments spanning 40 days, resolved the longstanding dispute by awarding the Ram Janmabhoomi land to Hindu parties, paving the way for the construction of the Ram Mandir at the birthplace of Shri Ram.

Acceptance of Faith and Belief:
CJI Ranjan Gogoi, during the verdict announcement, emphasized the court’s acceptance of the faith and belief of worshippers. The declaration that Ram Janmabhoomi is not a juristic person but Shri Ram Lalla Varjaman, marked a significant acknowledgment of the religious sentiments associated with the site.

Reconciliation Measures:
The Supreme Court, in its verdict, also mandated the allocation of 5 acres of land at an alternate site in Ayodhya to the Sunni Waqf Board for the reconstruction of the Babri Masjid, which was demolished in 1992. This judicially guided reconciliation measure aimed at fostering communal harmony.

Diverse Invitations:
In addition to the esteemed judges, invitations have been extended to a diverse array of personalities, including political leaders, celebrities, and sportspersons. The inclusive guest list reflects the broad societal significance of the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

Rituals and Preparations:
As the rituals leading up to the ceremony unfold, the installation of the idol of Shri Ram in the sanctum sanctorum marks a pivotal moment in the spiritual journey toward the completion of the Ram Mandir.

Conclusion:
The invitation of Supreme Court judges and legal luminaries as state guests for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony stands as a testament to the reverence accorded to the judicial process that resolved the historic Ram Janmabhoomi case. The inclusive and symbolic nature of the event signifies a collective step toward unity and shared cultural heritage.
