The Uttarakhand Child Commission has recommended installing statues of Bharat Mata and Maa Saraswati in schools, madrasas, and all educational institutions. Additionally, the Commission has suggested celebrating the birth anniversaries of all great personalities of India in these institutions. The Commission has written a letter to the Director General of School Education to take action and inform them of the progress.

  • Recommendation by the Child Commission: In a letter dated July 25, Dr. S.K. Singh, the Undersecretary of the Commission, stated that they received a memorandum from the Uttarakhand unit of Bharat Raksha Manch on July 18. The organization’s State General Secretary, Vipul Kumar Gupta, demanded the mandatory installation of statues of Maa Saraswati and Bharat Mata in schools, madrasas, and other educational institutions, along with the celebration of the birth anniversaries of great personalities to familiarize the new generation with them.
  • Commission’s Statement: Dr. Geeta Khanna, Chairperson of the State Child Commission, emphasized that celebrating the birth anniversaries of great personalities and installing statues of Bharat Mata and Maa Saraswati in schools, madrasas, or any educational institution is crucial for character building in children. She mentioned that if students celebrate the anniversaries of figures like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Tegh Bahadur, and Veer Abdul Hameed, among others, they will connect with their cultural heritage and strengthen their sense of patriotism.

The recommendation aims to instill cultural values and national pride among students by integrating these practices into the educational system.
